I’m quite devoted to Jazzercise, so it was fun to see how the latest cardio dance DVDs stand up to my favorite workout. I don’t think any of them will replace class for me (I’m social!) but they’re great for travel or days I can’t get out.


Only reviewed a couple albums for M this month: the collaboration between Ben Folds and British novelist Nick Hornby, and the latest from legend Liza Minnelli.

Hot off the presses: the May issue of M Music & Musicians, featuring my reviews of Court Yard Hounds, the latest from Mary Chapin Carpenter and Glee: The Power of Madonna.


The March/April issue of M Music & Musicians is out, and once again, in addition to copy editing the issue, I wrote several things, which I’ll post in the next week. First up, reviews of the latest albums from Goldfrapp and Martin Sexton, as well as Joanna Newsom‘s highly anticipated 3-disc album Have One on Me.
